What's New?
RapidBus is coming to the Scott Road corridor in 2024! For more information, please see our R6 Scott Road RapidBus page.
Buses are the backbone of our transit system, carrying over 60% of transit customers in Metro Vancouver to the people and places that matter most. Our system includes:
1,700 low and zero-emissions vehicles in our bus fleet, which drove 113.6 million service km in 2022
250 local bus routes
8,500 bus stops
Fun fact: Each year, our fleet travels about 107 million service km, which is the distance of going to the moon and back over 250 times.
Our Bus Priority projects help make our buses faster and more reliable, allowing our customers to plan their travel around their lives, rather than plan their lives around their travel.

Set to serve the busiest bus corridor south of the Fraser River, the R6 Scott Road RapidBus promises customers a ride that’s at least 20 per cent faster than the local service. This is possible thanks to fewer stops, all-door boarding, and new bus priority infrastructure such as dedicated bus lanes and queue jumps.
We’ve commissioned three artists with connections to Surrey and Delta’s South Asian community, culture and heritage to produce public artworks along the new R6 Scott Road RapidBus route.
Our new Bus Speed and Reliability Report finds that accelerated investments in bus priority measures are needed to mitigate the impacts growing traffic congestion has on bus speed and reliability.
The City of North Vancouver and TransLink have broken ground on a new transit priority lane for the R2 Marine Drive RapidBus. When complete, this new lane will save R2 customers around six minutes per trip, giving more consistent and predictable travel times for bus riders.
All-day service, fast and reliable, distinct look and features, and now free Wi-Fi! Customers riding our RapidBus routes can now access free Wi-Fi, powered by Rogers. It is available to anyone with a mobile device.
