Transit Service Changes

Starting on April 20, 2026, TransLink is increasing service on 42 routes across the region to address overcrowding, improve convenience for customers, and extend the hours of service on some routes.

• This includes increased service on five of our most overcrowded routes, including routes 99, R4, 335, 240, and 106.

• Route 19 will see more trips throughout the week, improving connections between Metrotown and Stanley Park.

• Weekday service on route 388 is being extended to later in the evening, providing more options on one of Surrey’s key east-west routes.

TransLink is also increasing seasonal service on 13 routes to improve access and convenience to popular outdoor destinations like Grouse Mountain, Spanish Banks, Buntzen Lake, and more.

• This includes additional service on 10 routes and the re-introduction of service on three routes that operate from April to September.

• With the school year coming to an end, we are reducing service on five routes serving post-secondary institutions until September.

These improvements are made possible through the 2025 Investment Plan, which delivers the largest bus service expansion since 2018.

• When these Spring Service Changes have gone into effect, TransLink will have implemented over 40 per cent of the new bus service funded through the plan since improvements began rolling out in September 2025.
