Transit Service Changes

Starting April 18, 2022

We make service changes every April, June, September, and January to reflect changes in demand and deliver more service to help customers get around the region.

Highlights of this service change include:

Bus

We’re welcoming customers back with more service on bus routes around the region:

  • Reintroducing seasonal service on 10 routes to popular destinations to help you enjoy the warmer weather.

    • Changes on seven routes take effect in April with three more seasonal routes receiving service increases in May.

  • Adding service to four routes that serve busy industrial employment areas to give customers more space on their commutes.

  • Adjusting four bus routes to better meet customer demand.

SkyTrain

Millennium Line hours of operation (service span) are being adjusted because of an expansion to one of our Operations and Maintenance Centres.

  • Trains previously stored overnight on the guideway will be stored at the facility between Inlet and Coquitlam Central stations.

  • This keeps trains in good condition longer by keeping them out of the elements. It also allows overnight maintenance to be performed on these trains and the tracks they used to be stored on.

  • N9 service was previously increased to accommodate late night/early morning customers during these periods.

BC Transit Fraser Valley Express 66

Starting March 27, BC Transit is extending their express bus service from downtown Chilliwack to run to Lougheed Town Center Station. The service continues to serve Carvolth Exchange as well.

  • The 66 Fraser Valley Express boards and ends at Lougheed Bay 1 (Stop ID #58435), providing connections to the SkyTrain Expo and Millennium Lines and CMBC bus services.

    • Weekday service runs every 30 min during rush hours and every 60 min outside of rush hours. The last bus will leave Lougheed at 8:47 p.m.

    • Weekend service runs every 60 to 75 min. The last bus will leave Lougheed at 8:15 p.m.

    • A journey from Chilliwack to Lougheed will take 80 to 90 minutes.

Customers transferring from BC Transit onto TransLink services are required to purchase Compass fare to continue their journey.

This minor bus stop change will provide another option for customers traveling between White Rock and central Surrey, freeing up space on other local routes such as route 321.

Due to a scheduling error, trip times on the 412 were changed. We plan to restore service back to its regular schedule in the summer service changes.
