VANCOUVER, BC – TransLink employees and the one-of-a-kind PrideBus will once again take part in the Vancouver Pride Parade on Sunday, August 2, joining the celebration in support of the region’s 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.

This year, the PrideBus will make its parade appearance in a new ‘90s-inspired wrap. The bus features bold portraits, rainbow colours, playful icons, and celebrates the creativity, diversity, and resilience of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.

The ’90s-inspired design reflects a transformative decade for Pride, both globally and in Vancouver. As 2SLGBTQIA+ visibility and representation grew, Pride events expanded into the vibrant celebrations recognized today, and Davie Village became firmly established as the heart of Vancouver’s 2SLGBTQIA+ community and culture.

“Participating in Vancouver’s annual Pride Parade is a proud tradition for TransLink employees, and of course the iconic PrideBus,” says TransLink CEO Kevin Quinn. “We encourage our customers to take transit for a safe, efficient, and reliable way to get to and from the festivities.”

The PrideBus is expected to enter regular service on August 3, giving customers across the region an opportunity to see the limited-edition design.

To support customers travelling to the parade, SkyTrain will provide additional service on the Expo and Millennium lines between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

  • 2 MacDonald/Burrard (11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.)
