TransLink offering earlier service for Vancouver Sun Run

Earlier start time for SkyTrain and SeaBus, with special West Coast Express trains

VANCOUVER, BC – To help runners get to the start line on Sunday, April 21, TransLink is starting service earlier on SkyTrain and SeaBus, and offering a special West Coast Express train for the 40th annual Vancouver Sun Run.

SkyTrain service on the Expo and Millennium lines will begin approximately 30 minutes earlier:

  • Expo Line: from King George to Waterfront at 6:38 a.m.
  • Expo Line: from Production Way–University to Waterfront at 6:38 a.m.
  • Expo Line: from Edmonds to Waterfront at 6:54 a.m.
  • Millennium Line: from Lafarge Lake–Douglas to VCC Clark at 6:26 a.m.
  • Millennium Line: from Lougheed Town Centre to VCC Clark at 6:41 a.m.

Trains, including the Canada Line, will also be running more frequently throughout the day to accommodate customer demand.

SeaBus morning service will start one hour earlier, with the first sailings:

  • From Lonsdale Quay at 7:02 a.m.
  • From Waterfront Station at 7:16 a.m.

West Coast Express will operate the following special trains:

  • Westbound train departing from Mission City Station at 7 a.m.
  • Eastbound return train departing from Waterfront Station at 1 p.m.

Customers travelling from Production Way–University, Lougheed Town Centre, and Braid stations should give themselves extra travel time due to ongoing maintenance work.
