Temporary bus stop relocation at Phibbs Exchange

The new Phibbs Exchange will open mid-2024Map detailing the temporary bus stop locations at Phibbs Exchange

NEW WESTMINSTER, BC – Effective Monday, July 24 all bus bays at the Phibbs Exchange in North Vancouver will be moved to temporary locations as TransLink moves ahead with constructing the new Phibbs Exchange.

Bus service and the associated bays will be relocated to streets near the existing exchange, specifically along Main, Orwell, and Oxford streets. Upon completion of the new Phibbs Exchange in mid-2024, bus stops and bays will be relocated to their permanent positions.

All buses currently serving the exchange will continue to operate during the upgrade.

The upgrades at Phibbs Exchange will improve the comfort and safety of transit passengers, better integrate the exchange with the neighbourhood, and provide more capacity for future service expansion. New passenger amenities will include digital passenger information displays, new shelters, and better signage throughout the exchange and bike lockers.

During construction, signage will be in place directing customers to the temporary bus bays, but customers should plan to give themselves extra time between transfers. Customers are also encouraged to sign up for transit alerts at translink.ca/alerts for the latest information on their bus route.

TransLink thanks our passengers, neighbours, and drivers for their understanding and patience during construction.
