Expo Line weekend maintenance work resumes in downtown Vancouver
Service impacts on Saturdays and Sundays through this fall

VANCOUVER, BC – Starting Saturday, July 25, Expo Line service will be temporarily reduced on weekends in downtown Vancouver through this fall. Service will be affected during early mornings on Saturdays and Sundays, and late nights on Sundays.
This essential maintenance work is a continuation of the LIM Rail Replacement Program, which upgrades the rail assembly that powers SkyTrain’s linear induction motors on the original Expo Line to match the Millennium Line.
During this work, Expo Line customers travelling through or using downtown Vancouver stations should expect some delays and allow up to 20 minutes of extra travel time.
Maintenance work will take place:
- Saturdays from 6:15 a.m. to 10 a.m.
- Sundays from 7:15 a.m. to 10 a.m.
- Sundays from 9:30 p.m. until 12:15 a.m.
Digital screens at station entrances will inform customers of any platform changes. Canada Line and Millennium Line service will not be affected.
Customers can check Transit Alerts for details on which Expo Line stations are impacted and follow TransLink on X @TransLink for the latest updates. For real-time wayfinding and trip planning, use the Transit app, or call Customer Information at 604.953.3333.
