NEW WESTMINSTER, BC – As part of TransLink’s upcoming Summer Service Changes, seasonal adjustments are being made on 12 bus routes for more frequent service to outdoor destinations around Metro Vancouver, including:

  • Route 23 (Main Street Station/English Bay)
  • Route 19 (Metrotown Station/Stanley Park)
  • Route 150 (Coquitlam Central Station/White Pine Beach)
  • Route 262 (Lions Bay/Caulfeild)
  • Route 362 (Seaside/White Rock Centre)

TransLink’s Bike Bus will also be back to serve cyclists between Bridgeport Station and Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal. This year, each Bike Bus will have an additional interior rack — for a total capacity of 10 bikes per trip.

Bike Bus service details:

  • Friday, June 28 to Monday, September 2, 2024
  • In service Fridays, weekends, and holidays from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Hourly departures to align with BC Ferries sailings

Summer Service Changes take effect on June 24, 2024. Go to translink.ca/servicechanges for complete route details.

Due to funding limitations, TransLink cannot add service to the overall transit system, despite growing demand throughout the region. The Access for Everyone Plan, which remains unfunded, is essential to addressing overcrowding. TransLink will continue working with government partners to secure a new funding model that supports regional transportation growth for years to come.

Transit service changes occur every January, April, June, and September. These quarterly changes are based on seasonal patterns and customer demand.
