Pattullo Bridge overnight northbound lane closures

Closures necessary this week for Pattullo Bridge Replacement Project

Traffic moving in both directions on Pattullo Bridge

NEW WESTMINSTER, B.C. – The Pattullo Bridge will be closed to northbound traffic into New Westminster overnight on Thursday, November 17 and Friday, November 18 to allow for work being conducted by the Government of British Columbia, as part of the Pattullo Bridge Replacement Project.

To ensure this work is completed safely, northbound Pattullo Bridge lane closures will be in place from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. both nights. The bridge will remain open to pedestrians, cyclists, and first responders at all times.

Date closures begin Time Direction closed
Thursday, November 17 10:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. Pattullo Bridge Northbound (toward New Westminster); all lanes on Bridge Connector
Friday, November 18 10:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. Pattullo Bridge Northbound (toward New Westminster); all lanes on Bridge Connector

Pattullo Bridge users are encouraged to take the Port Mann or Alex Fraser bridges as alternatives. N19 NightBus trips affected by the lane closures will be rerouted over the Alex Fraser and Queensborough bridges between New Westminster and Scott Road stations. Customers should plan for up to 30 minutes of additional travel time.

One southbound lane toward Surrey on the Pattullo Bridge will remain open, but Royal Avenue eastbound will be reduced to a single lane east of Dufferin Street; the Royal Avenue on-ramp will remain open. Travellers coming from McBride Boulevard will be detoured to use the Columbia Street on-ramp.

We thank bridge users and neighbours for their patience during this work.
