The South Coast British Columbia Transportation Authority ("TransLink") is responsible for regional transportation planning, transit services and major road networks. The actual delivery of public transit services takes place through subsidiary companies and contractors and the maintenance and improvement of TransLink’s major road network is done in partnership with the various municipalities. Among TransLink’s wholly owned subsidiaries are Coast Mountain Bus Company, West Coast Express, SkyTrain, Intelligent Transportation Systems and Aircare.
