VANCOUVER, BC – SkyTrain customers are in for a surprise this week as global superstar Bruno Mars becomes the latest celebrity guest voice on SkyTrain, ahead of his five Vancouver concerts at BC Place.

Through a new collaboration between TransLink and Warner Music Canada, a special announcement featuring Bruno Mars' voice will play periodically at the station on concert days from October 14 to 21, alongside regular station announcements.

A new celebrity guest voice on SkyTrain

Bruno Mars joins a short list of famous voices heard on SkyTrain. TransLink previously featured the voices of actor Seth Rogen in 2018 and Canadian soccer legend Christine Sinclair during FIFA World Cup 2026 Vancouver.

“Most people don't expect to hear Bruno Mars while they're heading to work, school, or a concert. That's what makes this so much fun, because it brings the concert experience to SkyTrain customers,” says TransLink CEO Kevin Quinn. “It's a unique way to brighten someone's trip while generating additional revenue that helps support transit service across the region.”

The collaboration is part of TransLink's broader efforts to generate revenue beyond fares and taxes to help fund Metro Vancouver's transit system.

Bruno Mars on the Romantic Tour

Five nights at BC Place
Bruno Mars will perform at BC Place on October 14, 16, 17, 20 and 21.

Originally announced as a single Vancouver show, extraordinary demand left many fans locked out of tickets. But the door wasn't closed for long, with the tour expanding to five dates at BC Place.

The special station announcement will play on each concert day, giving fans another chance to hear the superstar's voice before they reach BC Place.

Getting to the show
Fans attending the concerts are encouraged to take transit and plan ahead, with Stadium–Chinatown Station providing direct SkyTrain access to BC Place. Customers should allow extra travel time during busy concert periods and can plan their journey by using the Transit App, TransLink’s Trip Planner, or Google Maps.
