NEW WESTMINSTER, BC – TransLink is expanding its Commercial Revenue Programs by partnering with Vancouver-based café chain Trees Organic Coffee & Cheesecake, to launch new transit-themed coffee beans and tea leaves.

Every day, TransLink connects people to a variety of businesses across Metro Vancouver. This collaboration builds on that role by creating unique customer experiences that extend beyond the transit journey, and reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting the local economy.

"We're always looking for innovative ways to create value for our customers and the communities we serve," says TransLink CEO Kevin Quinn. "Partnerships like this really show how we're thinking differently about our business, while working with local companies to generate new revenue and help support the transit system for the future."

The limited-edition bags, which include an exclusive coffee or tea blend, are now available at all 17 Trees locations across Metro Vancouver while supplies last.

With each bag appropriately named Travelling through Taste, the smooth Costa Rica Aquiares Entre Rios coffee beans combine notes of caramel and milk chocolate; while the organic caffeine-free Raspberry Peach tea offers tastebuds a vibrant swirl of fruity flavours. The TransLink-themed coffee bean packages retail for $16.99, and bags of loose tea are being sold for $24.99.

Trees is already a familiar part of many customers’ commutes, with eight cafés located at or near SkyTrain stations, and a new one opening soon at Braid Station.

"At Trees Organic Coffee & Cheesecake, a brand proudly founded in Vancouver over 30 years ago, reaching this milestone is a testament not only to our enduring commitment to quality and authenticity, but also to decades of dedicated effort and the unwavering support of the community we serve,” says Trees President and CEO Peter Chiung.

This collaboration is part of TransLink’s Commercial Revenue Programs, which are expanding opportunities to work with local and regional businesses in innovative ways. From retail partnerships to branded customer experiences, these programs reflect TransLink's commitment to thinking differently about how it generates new sources of revenue.
