VANCOUVER, BC – TransLink is preparing a tournament-ready transit system that will help customers move through the region smoothly, while bringing the energy of FIFA World Cup 2026 Vancouver onto the network. Across the system, customers will experience a mix of enhanced service, clear wayfinding, live performances, and special announcements designed to make transit feel more seamless, more engaging, and more connected to the tournament atmosphere.

From the moment they board, transit will feel connected to FIFA World Cup 2026 Vancouver — whether fans are heading to a match, travelling to FIFA Fan Festival Vancouver, or simply moving around the region.

As part of that experience, TransLink is partnering with Canadian soccer legend Christine Sinclair, who will serve as a guest voice on the system throughout the tournament.

Customers travelling to BC Place Vancouver on match days, and the FIFA Fan Festival Vancouver throughout the tournament, will hear Sinclair’s voice on buses, SkyTrain, SeaBus, and West Coast Express, helping guide them to key destinations. She will also appear on passenger display screens at SkyTrain stations, and in social media videos, sharing helpful transit tips, and encouraging a smooth travel experience.

“FIFA World Cup 2026 Vancouver will bring the world to our region, and transit will be a key part of that experience from the moment customers step on board,” says TransLink CEO Kevin Quinn. “We’re not just moving people to the action, we’re bringing the energy of the tournament onto the system. Hearing Christine Sinclair’s voice along the way makes that experience feel uniquely local, and unmistakably Canadian.”

In addition to enhanced service and wayfinding support, special performances will take place across the transit system throughout the tournament, bringing local energy and a celebratory atmosphere to key transit hubs:
