We continue to salt and sand bus loops and SkyTrain stations, but please use caution in these areas and remember to dress warmly in anticipation of potential delays.

Expect extra crowding on some routes To provide improved traction, many articulated buses have been switched with standard, 40 foot buses. This will mean some modified service, with increased crowding and the possibility of passups in some areas.

HandyDART is currently operating regular service.

SkyTrain Fleet Expansion

With funding approved for the 10-Year Vision for Metro Vancouver transportation, we'll be adding more than 200 Expo and Millennium Line SkyTrain cars to our fleet.

When these cars go into service they will make up about half of the cars in the SkyTrain fleet.

From Jan. 14 to 25, 2019 we consulted on potential layout improvements to our new SkyTrain Cars.

Layout Improvements Being Considered

  • Perimeter (sideways) seating for the new SkyTrain cars.
  • Bike racks in flex areas for more convenient and comfortable storage.
  • Leaning rails for customers who cannot sit and stand easily.
  • Flex areas to better serve customers with mobility devices, strollers, bicycles, and luggage.

During our consultation we received over 11,000 responses to our online survey and held four public information sessions.

Thank you to everyone who filled out a survey and/or who attended a public information session. Stay tuned for any upcoming announcements.
