Open Call for Innovation

 

 

The 2019 Open Call for Innovation is now open, and TransLink is asking for your ideas on how to improve its Customer Services and Amenities.

How can we better use our public spaces to add value, surprise and delight; how can we better support the well-being of our customers; and how can we make the unavoidable reality of waiting more comfortable and enjoyable. In short, how can we make your transit experience better?

 

We're looking for innovative ideas to address the new challenge statement:

"How can we make the customer experience at TransLink's stops, stations and exchanges more enjoyable?"

 

 

 

All transit journeys begin and end at a transit stop, station or exchange. They’re an important part of our communities and we have an opportunity to improve this part of the customers’ journey.

We believe good ideas come from anyone and everyone – and that includes you. We’re looking to partner with industry leaders, innovators, academics and policymakers to collaborate on new mobility solutions that will help to enhance the livability of Metro Vancouver residents.

 

What happens if you're selected?

For successful submissions, TransLink offers funding and collaboration to incubate, develop, pilot and implement your idea. We’ll work with you to make your good idea even better and help turn it into reality.

2019 Open Call for Innovation Skype Webinar

Please join us at noon on Thursday, April 11 for an informational webinar about TransLink’s 2019 Open Call for Innovation. We will cover general information about the Open Call, include eligibility and theme, and allow time for Q&A.

How to join

  1. Prior to the meeting, click the meeting link (https://meet.lync.com/translink.ca/eve.hou/FGWTURG0). You may be directed to download a Skype for Business App for free, if you do not already have it.
  2. When prompted to “Join Meeting Audio”, select “Use Skype for Business (full audio and video experience)”.

About the Skype Webinar

  1. Participants will be in listen-only (muted) mode – you will need speakers on your computer to listen to the webinar.
  2. During the Q&A, you may ask questions via instant messaging (IM) within the Skype for Business App. Please note that the smartphone version of the app does not allow for IM. You will need to access from desktop to use IM during the Q&A.
  3. TransLink staff will endeavor to answer questions on the call. Note that everything you write on IM will be visible to all attendees and all questions and answers will be posted as an Addendum in Ariba.
