Canada Line Escalator Enhancement Project

Illustration of people using an escalator at a SkyTrain station

As part of TransLink's Maintenance and Repair Program, we've added new escalators to Yaletown–Roundhouse Station, Vancouver City Centre Station, and Waterfront Station to get ready for expanded service on the Canada Line and address growing customer demand.

This critical investment into the system will enhance the customer experience well into the future.

Passengers on our transit system deserve the best customer experience possible. This means a seamless transition between modes and reliable escalator service to move through our stations.

This is another example of the investments we're making across the system to improve the customer experience.

As part of the Public Transit Infrastructure Fund, the Government of Canada, Government of B.C and region is investing $36 million in Canada Line system and stations upgrades.

This project was completed in December 2019.

We thank all of our passengers for their patience during construction.
