Ride-Sharing
Share a Ride for Door-to-Door Commuting
Ride-sharing is an easy way to reduce commuting costs and cut personal greenhouse gas emissions without really changing the way you travel. See below for a fun and quick video on how ride-Sharing works.
Ideal for people with compatible destinations and schedules, ride-sharing employees say they really enjoy the company of fellow passengers during their daily commute. Plus, you’ll not only cut down on your travel costs, but you can take advantage of HOV (high occupancy vehicle) lanes and get to work faster.
Get a group together and take turns using each other’s cars, or make use of a vehicle provided by the Jack Bell Ride-Share program.
Free Online Ride Matching
Find fellow employees or other registered commuters with similar work schedules and destinations. The cost is shared between passengers and is based on distance traveled. You can use your own car, catch a lift in someone else’s, or find a seat in a Jack Bell Ride-Share vehicle.

Vanpooling and Carpooling
This program matches commuters based on home and work locations (four in a car or eight in a van). Riders pay a monthly fee for a reserved seat based on daily, round-trip mileage. Vehicles are provided by Jack Bell Ride-Share and for a nominal charge, riders can also use the vehicle for personal use.

Scott Road Ride-Share Parking Program
Did you know there are 27 priority parking spaces at the Scott Road SkyTrain Station Park & Ride lot? These spaces are available for free to ride-share groups who possess a valid Scott Road Ride-Share Parking Pass and arrive with at least two people in the vehicle.
To apply for a pass, complete the registration form and submit it to TransLink’s Ride-Share Program. If there are more applicants than priority parking spaces, the spaces will be awarded to vehicles with the most riders first. The remaining spaces will be awarded by lottery. Successful ride-share groups will receive one parking pass, which must be displayed at all times. Passes are valid for a six month period. (Nov. - Apr. or May. - Oct.)
