Thank you for making the Olympic Pledge!

The 2010 Winter Olympics were a great success. They saw a substantial reduction in traffic on our roads, and an increase in the number of trips made by transit, walking and cycling in Metro Vancouver. With an average of 1.6 million trips made daily on transit during the Olympics, TransLink experienced an increase of more than two times its normal daily ridership.

Thank you to all of the organizations that participated in the Olympic Pledge! Your commitment to reducing vehicle traffic and increasing use of sustainable travel options directly contributed to the success of the Games. Let’s keep that success going through the Paralympics and beyond, to keep this one of the most liveable cities in the world.
