2010 Winter Games Information

Sign up for the Pledge today and you’ll automatically be entered into a draw for 50 tickets to a 2010 Olympic Games Victory Ceremony. The perfect way to celebrate you and your staff helping to make the Games a success by reducing traffic on our roads!

Make your Pledge to reduce vehicle trips by at least 30%

To make the 2010 Winter Games a success for all of Vancouver, we need your help now. Our public transit and road networks will experience a significant increase in traffic, and there will be road and parking restrictions close to Games venues, particularly in downtown Vancouver, and along key routes. Whether it’s changing travel choices to leave the car at home, shifting travel times to avoid peak periods or removing the need to travel altogether – it all helps get athletes and officials to their events, while reducing the number of vehicles on the road.

If everyone plans a TravelSmart commute during Games-time, we'll do much more than reduce vehicle traffic. Together, we'll leave a legacy of smart travel habits that will be good for this region for years to come!

The TravelSmart Olympic Pledge has two parts:
1. An organization registers and submits their overall pledge for Games-time travel.
2. To help you promote your organization’s pledge, each of your employees can record their Games-time travel through their own Employee Pledge.
