41 Joyce Station leaving 41st Ave & Crown St at 12:02 am on Sundays will leave 3 minutes earlier at 11:59 pm.

Effective Sunday February 5th, from start of service until 4:00pm.

The installation of new fibre optic cables will begin. To accommodate this work, trains will be single-tracking (moving in alternating directions on a single track between Main Street-Science World and Commercial-Broadway stations), which limits the overall frequency of service across the system.

There will be reduced frequency of trains system-wide. Passengers should allow an extra 15 minutes for their trip.

Trains will use the same side of the platform at Main Street-Science World and Commercial-Broadway (Platform 4) stations. Passengers must watch for trains arriving from both directions.

Millennium Line trains will terminate at Columbia Station. Passengers must change to/from the Expo Line at Columbia or Commercial-Broadway stations.

Due to construction stops 51074 Northbound Earles St & Kings Av and stop 51058 Southbound Earles Av & Vanness Av will be temporarily discontinued.

Phase 5 of bus shelter construction (north side) at Newton Exchange begins.

Construction will close Stop 55688 Bay 7 (323 Surrey Central Station & 393 Surrey Central Station). These services will temporarily move to a new bay on 72nd Street, immediately east of the exchange, in front of the Credit Union.

The 323 and 393 will operate to Newton Exchange via their regular routings and will unload in any unoccupied bay. If there are no unoccupied bays available then Buses will proceed to the on street bay for unloading and loading. The on street bay will accommodate 2 buses.

Phase 5 is the final stage of five planned construction phases.

We request that customers continue to use caution when going to and from to the on-street bus stops.

Stop 57157 Eastbound Fraser Hwy at 248 St has been cancelled and replaced by Stop 61567 on the other side of 248 Street.

The Community Shuttles C20 and C22 will use stop #59937 Southbound Wesbrook Mall at University Blvd instead of the adjacent stop 61598 which will be used solely for conventional buses.

C94 Richmond Oval: Regular route to temporary terminus on Elmbridge Way & Hollybridge Way.
C94 Brighouse Station: From temporary terminus on Elmbridge Way & Hollybridge Way via Elmbridge Way, Westminster Hwy, then regular route.

As a result of the significant delays from the Trans-Canada Highway improvement project construction the #501 will be re-routed until further notice. When the Trans-Canada highway is backed up the #501 coaches will operate via regular routing along Golden Ears Way to 176th Street then continue on 96th Avenue, Right 160th Street, Left 104th Avenue, and then regular routing to Surrey Central Station.
There are no stops impacted by this temporary routing change and by avoiding traffic delays along the highway it should create more consistent running times for customers. This temporary routing change is planned to last for the duration of construction along the Trans-Canada Highway.

This will result in a reduction of TVMs to a total of four.

Signage has been placed around the construction site to direct passengers to and from the terminal entrance and around the construction site.

Due to construction hoarding and modular fencing will go up at the SeaBus Terminal at Lonsdale Quay.

Passengers will need to walk around the hoarding to access the existing station entrance.

Some areas in Burnaby will have shelters removed temporarily while the City of Burnaby makes arrangements to replace them at 32 different locations.

Inquiries on the specifics of the shelter removals and reinstallations may be directed to the City of Burnaby.

Change to Detour of C76 Route:
Effective with first bus on Monday November 7th, the existing detour routing for the C76 Scottsdale Exchange/Ladner Exchange route will be revised, as follows (changes in bold):

C76 Scottsdale Exchange: From Ladner Exchange via Harvest, Ladner Trunk, 72nd St., 44th Ave. (Churchill), to the round-about (just west of 80^th Street), continue through round-about to operate westbound on Churchill, R/72nd Street, Ladner Trunk, Matthews Exchange, Ladner Trunk, Hwy.10, Scott (120th St.), 74th Ave. to Scottsdale Exchange.

C76 Ladner Exchange: From Scottsdale Exchange via regular routing to Matthews Exchange, then via Ladner Trunk, 72nd Street, 44th Ave. (Churchill), to the round-about (just west of 80^th Street), continue through round-about to operate westbound on Churchill R/72nd Street, Ladner Trunk, Harvest to Ladner Exchange.

As shown on the attached map, the C76 will now serve bus stops 61499 (e/b Churchill Street, f/s Athabaska Street) and a new bus stop, 61029 (w/b Churchill, f/s 80^th Street). This detour will be in effect until the overpass on 80^th Street is completed.

Effective Monday September 26th, 2011 for approximately one year.

Bay 4 at the Joyce/Collingwood Station will be closed due to construction. The 41 UBC will depart from the new Bay 6 located east of Joyce St on Vaness Ave.

Effective Monday August 15th, 2011.

Due to station construction, transit at Scott Road Station will operate from a new, temporary exchange. The temporary exchange, immediately north of the existing exchange, will feature seven bays. Bay assignments will be revised, as per the diagram below.

Effective Monday February 6th, 2012 from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Elevator out of Service

Due to scheduled maintenance the elevator from street level to the platform level will be out of service. Passengers wishing to board SkyTrain at Metrotown station, please obtain assistance from a Skytrain Attendant. Passengers traveling westbound are to continue to Patterson Station and pick up the red emergency phone for assistance.

SkyTrain Track Maintenance - Sunday, February 5th from start of service to 4:00pm

Track maintenance affecting Stations between Main and Broadway will be performed. Expect delays. Passengers are asked to please allow an additional 15 minutes to your trip time.

Millennium trains to/from VCC Clark will terminate at Columbia and passengers will be asked to change trains there, using the same platform.

 

Effective Wednesday February 1st to Tuesday July 31st, 2012.

In preparation for the electronic fare card and faregates the Surrey Central elevator will be closed. We regret the inconvenience however the work is necessary to complete the construction needed to install the new faregates.

During construction, we ask passengers with mobility impairments who require the use of an elevator to use Gateway or King George as their alternate station.

There are four different bus routes connecting Surrey Central and Gateway stations, providing up to 20 trips per hour throughout most of the day. These routes are:

1. C71 Surrey Central Station/Scott Road Station
2. C73 Guildford/Surrey Central Station
3. 332 Guildford/Surrey Central Station
4. 335 Fleetwood/Surrey Central Station

People who use the elevator now will need to allow extra time for their trips.

Extra staff will be on hand to provide assistance.

Effective February 1st until October 2012 - Elevator Unavailable due to Faregate Construction

The Scott Road Station elevator (west side) will be out of service due to station renovations for the TransLink Compass Card and Fare Gate project.

Passengers with mobility impairments arriving by bus and requiring an elevator to access the SkyTrain platform may ask an onsite SkyTrain Construction Guide for assistance which will usually be a taxi ride to the elevator on the station’s east side.

Passengers with mobility impairments arriving by bus and requiring an elevator to access the SkyTrain platform may also board the C71 community shuttle. The C71 connects Scott Road, Gateway and Surrey Central stations with hourly service seven days a week and every half hour Monday to Friday during the morning and afternoon rush.

Passengers with mobility impairments arriving by SkyTrain and requiring an elevator to access the bus loop should use the elevator on the east side of the station and then ask an onsite SkyTrain Construction Guide for assistance.

Effective Tuesday February 1st until Friday February 10th, 2012 at 5:30pm - Escalator Repairs.

Due to repairs the up escalator from the east side ticket vending machine level to the platform level will be out of service.

Effective Friday February 3rd to May, 2012.

Construction will start at Gilmour Station in preparation for faregate equipment installation in May 2012.

Passengers may need to walk around the hoarding and modular fencing in order to access the existing entrance.

Effective Friday February 3rd from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.

The outbound (to VCC/Clark & King George) stairs and escalator at New Westminster station will be closed due to metal work.
Service Impact: Passengers may use the outbound emergency exit stairs or elevator during this time. SkyTrain staff will be on site to direct passengers.

Effective January 8 to February 2012 - In preparation for the new future connections between the outbound (to VCC/Clark & King George) platform and the Plaza 88 development, Plaza 88 will be installing protective hoarding on the outbound platform that will remain until the work for the two connection points is completed in February.

Passengers will be able to access trains from the outbound platform; however, the platform will be narrower than normal.

Effective May 25th, 2011 until further notice. Due to construction the existing westbound (to Waterfront) TVM will be removed from service. Tickets may still be purchased at the base of the eastbound (to King George/VCC Clark) elevator or on the TVM level.

Effective Monday June 6th, 2011 until February 2012. - The elevator from McNeely Street entrance to the westbound platform level will be out of service due to construction.

Passengers wishing to travel westbound from New Westminster, please take an eastbound train to Columbia and at Columbia Station, and change over to a westbound train.

Passengers wishing to disembark at New Westminster from a westbound train, please continue to 22nd St. Station and change over to an eastbound train.

Due to repairs one the up escalator from westbound platform to ticket vending machines will be out service for repairs from Tuesday Jan 17, 2011 to February 9th at 5:00 pm.

Effective Monday September 26th, 2011 to March 15th, 2012 - Elevator Unavailable due to Faregate Construction

Due to construction of the new faregate entrance hall at Burrard Station, the elevator will be out of service and the station listed as “non-accessible” for approximately four months.

Customers who would normally need to use that elevator will need to go to Granville, Vancouver City Centre or Waterfront Station instead. On weekdays, the #44 connects Burrard Station with Waterfront from 6:37am (from Waterfront) until approximately 8:25pm (to Waterfront).

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate our customers’ patience during this construction period.

A temporary widwalk is also in place to redirect passengers around the closed south entrance.

Due to faregate construction, the main entrance at Royal Oak Station will be closed. A temporary entrance will be created to re-route passengers.

Passengers can access the new temporary entrance at the back of Royal Oak Station.
