Share a Ride for Door-to-Door Commuting
Carpooling, also known as ride-sharing, is an easy way to reduce commuting costs and cut personal greenhouse gas emissions without really changing the way you travel.
Ideal for people with compatible destinations and schedules, carpool employees say they really enjoy the company of fellow passengers during their daily commute. Plus, you'll not only cut down on your travel costs, but you can take advantage of HOV (high occupancy vehicle) lanes and get to work faster.
Get a group together and take turns using each other's cars, or make use of a vehicle provided by Jack Bell Ride-Share.
Free Online Ride Matching
Find fellow employees or other registered commuters with similar work schedules and destinations at Jack Bell Ride-Share. The cost is shared between passengers and is based on distance travelled. You can use your own car, catch a lift in someone else's, or find a seat in a Jack Bell Ride-Share vanpool.
Park & Ride Carpool Program
One more great reason to carpool – registered groups can get free priority parking at the Park & Ride lots listed below. These spaces are available at no charge to registered carpool groups who possess a valid Carpool Parking Pass and arrive with at least two people in the vehicle.
- Carvolth Exchange Park & Ride
15 priority parking spaces
- South Surrey Park & Ride
13 priority parking spaces
- Scott Road SkyTrain Station Park & Ride
27 priority parking spaces
To apply for a pass at the Scott Road Park & Ride, complete and submit the Carpool Parking Program Application Form. If there are more applicants than priority parking spaces, the spaces will be awarded to vehicles with the most riders first. The remaining spaces will be awarded by lottery. Successful ride-share groups will receive one parking pass, which must be displayed at all times.
