Scott Road Station Upgrades

Commuters leaving the Scott Road Station on a sunny day

Upgrades to Scott Road SkyTrain Station are underway to improve accessibility, passenger safety and service for the thousands of customers who use the station every day.

Scott Road Station is a popular Park & Ride location and bus transfer point for South of Fraser residents. We’re installing a new elevator at the west entrance, upgrading lighting, re-designing the bus loop and improving stairs, ramps, curb ramps as well as the parking lot to serve you better.

The upgrades are funded by TransLink, the Government of Canada and Province of British Columbia. The upgrades are also being coordinated with the Electronic Fare Card and Fare Gate project.

Construction starts May 2011
We want to make the station as safe and easy to access as possible for you during construction. Fencing and lighting will be improved along pedestrian routes from the Park & Ride and the new temporary bus loop.

Thanks for your patience during construction!

Here's a brief overview of some of the changes you'll see as construction gets underway:

New Temporary Bus Loop

  • Construction in Parking Lot C, immediately north of the west entrance of the station, begins mid-May 2011.
  • During construction, bus service and access to the west entrance of the station will remain unchanged.
  • New temporary bus loop is scheduled to open in late June 2011, and all transit bus service will operate from this new location.
  • Transit users can access the west station entrance from the new temporary bus loop.
  • Temporary bus loop will be in service for approx. one year.

New Elevator at West Entrance

  • Construction work begins in May 2011.
  • For transit bus users, construction fencing will separate construction areas from the safe pedestrian areas.
  • For SkyTrain users, some construction work will take place on the platform level and at the location of the new elevator at the east end of the existing bus loop.
