The Newton Town Centre Land Use, Urban Design and Transportation Plan is an integrated effort to guide infrastructure investments as well as inform public and private development decisions in the Newton Town Centre area (bounded by 72 Avenue to the North, 138th Street to the east, and the BC-Hydro and Southern Railway Corridor to the south and west). The plan also includes a concept for a new, expanded and relocated Newton Transit Exchange.

The coordinated plan between the City of Surrey and TransLink articulates immediate and longer-term recommendations for both land use and transit in Newton Town Centre. The Official Community Plan of Surrey formed the basis for this plan’s recommendations. The consultant and project management team worked together to ensure that the community was engaged at every phase of the planning process.
