Pattullo Paving Complete
TransLink thanks the public for their patience!
Work to repave the southeast bend on the Pattullo Bridge is complete, and TransLink would like to thank the public for their patience and cooperation while the bridge was closed.
The closure, which ended at 3:00 this (Monday) morning, allowed crews to pave over a portion of the bridge, which was becoming a safety concern.
“Closing the bridge entirely, for the entire weekend, made certain that our workers could do the job safely, as well as complete the task with minimal overall disruption,” says Darren Woodworth, TransLink Senior Project Manager. “We greatly appreciate both the quick and effective work by the crews and the cooperation and understanding of the public.”
The closure also allowed for spot inspections of the concrete bridge deck and the completion of necessary short-term repairs.
