2010 Winter Games
The 2010 Paralympic Games run from March 12 to 21, and will see 600 of the world’s best athletes from more than 40 countries compete. As the agency responsible for the region's public transit system, TransLink will have a complete, integrated network of rapid transit, commuter rail, buses, passenger ferries and special transport services for the disabled.
Throughout the Paralympics regular transit routes will apply, however TransLink will provide additional event-support transit services to Paralympic venues. The City of Vancouver operates the Olympic Line streetcar, providing access to the Paralympic Athletes Village and southern area of False Creek.
From early March to the start of the Paralympics on March 12, most parking restrictions, route changes and street closures in Vancouver will return to normal. However, there will continue to be some road closures required during the Paralympics. For complete details on road closures, visit the City of Vancouver website.
